🎉 PopPix Setup Guide (2m × 2m footprint)

🖼️ Backdrop Setup

Goal: Backdrop height = 2m, Width = 1.5 m. Booth sits 1.1 m in front. (Think of it as giving your booth a nice personal space bubble).

  1. Mark your space

    • Use a tape measure (not vibes).

    • Mark out a neat 2 m × 2 m square.

    • Flat, safe, and definitely not blocking a fire exit.

  2. Assemble the frame

    • Open both tripod stands. Extend the centre bars to the top and tighten the knobs so they’re sturdy. Place them 1.5 m apart.

    • Connect the crossbars like giant tent poles (listen for the satisfying clicks).

    • Remove wing nuts from the tripod stands, slide the crossbar into the top, then tighten.

    • Loosen the first knob and extend the side uprights by 30cm, loosen the second knob and extend by 50cm. Final height = 2 m.

    • Slip the fabric sleeve over the frame, pillowcase-style.

📸 Booth Setup

  1. Position

    • Place the booth 1.1 m from the backdrop (just over one tall human lying down).

  2. Power & lighting

    • Plug into power.

    • Adjust brightness:

      • White light → left button +/−.

      • RGB light → right button, tap repeatedly to change colours.

  3. Tidy & safety

    • Tape down cables (duckface + trip hazard = no good).

    • Double-check frame stability (Macarena-proof).

📱 Snappic App – Quick Start

  1. iPad prep

    • Fully charged (no 2% drama).

    • Brightness ~80%.

  2. Open Snappic

    • Event should be preloaded. If it’s the wrong event, check Wi-Fi before panicking.

  3. Test run

    • Take a goofy test pic. Good or bad, it’s working.

    • Line the camera with the middle of the backdrop – only fabric in frame.
